Justice At War: The Story of the Japanese Internment Camps portrays Mitsuye Endo's groundbreaking case before the Supreme Court during WWII, in which she petitioned the court on behalf of all Japanese-Americans who had been detained following the attack on Pearl Harbor. The following video clip provides a preview of the drama's characters, their arguments, and a glimpse into the compelling nature of interactive theatre.

Justice at War

Justice at War is one of five original dramas on Theatre Espresso's roster, spanning American history from the Salem Witch Trials of 1692 to the 1957 school desegregation crisis in Little Rock, Arkansas. Our historical plays encourage students to grapple with issues of conscience and to explore their contemporary relevance. To learn more about scheduling a performance, click on Book a Show. Or go to Our Shows to read about the historical context of, and central questions posed by, each of our plays.
